Intent or purpose of the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937

The Legislature of India enacted the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937 on 7th October 1937, to make provision for the application of the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) to Muslims.

The act is associated with the Ministry of Law and Justice – Department of Legislative Department.
